Writing Sub-test

Why It’s Difficult: The writing section requires candidates to write a letter (such as a referral, discharge, or transfer letter) based on a specific case. The challenge lies in understanding the task, selecting relevant information, and organizing it in a clear, concise, and professional manner. Additionally, candidates must adhere to a formal tone while demonstrating their ability to summarize medical information accurately.

• Common Issues: Candidates often struggle with time management, the selection of relevant details, and maintaining the required level of formality and clarity in their writing.

Speaking Sub-test

• Why It’s Difficult: The speaking section involves role-playing with the examiner, where the candidate takes on the role of a healthcare professional interacting with a patient. The difficulty arises from the need to think on your feet, use appropriate medical terminology, and demonstrate empathy and clear communication in real-time.
• Common Issues: Many candidates find it challenging to maintain fluency under pressure, use the correct professional language, and handle unexpected questions or scenarios during the role-play.

Listening Sub-test

• Why It’s Difficult: The listening section includes conversations and presentations related to healthcare. Candidates must not only comprehend the content but also extract specific information relevant to the questions. Reading Sub-test
